OUR FULL ESTIMATING & JOB PROCESS
1. MEET / TALK
Meet the customer to get a better understanding of there needs and concerns and what they are looking for in there next roof.
2. ROOF INSPECTION
We will be looking how much life is left in the current roof. The number of layers, the type of sheeting, condition of skylights & chimneys. We may also need to access the attic to look at the venting of the roof to make sure it is venting properly.
3. TAKING NOTES & PICTURES
Throughout the process we will be taking notes and pictures. We will be noting & taking pictures if there are any damages to the Roof, Driveway, Skylights, Chimneys and anything else that my be of any help in the estimating process.
4. MEASUREMENTS
We will be getting a satellite image of the roof that will have precise measurements of all aspects of the roof. If there are trees in the way we may need to do it the old fashion way with just a tape measure.
5. PROVIDE ESTIMATE
We will write up an estimate that clearly communicates the work we are quoting to do. The materials we are proposing to use, usually with a few different roofing product to pick from and also any add-ons. ( New skylights, Chimney toppers, etc).
6. FOLLOW-UP
We will reach out to the customer and see if they have any questions regarding the estimate. We may even need to update the estimate to reflect changes that the customer wants.
7. INFORM / EDUCATE
Throughout the process we will always be helping inform and educate the customer to understand the roofing in anyway necessary. (No questions is a stupid question if your wanting to know something about your own home).
8. GETTING ON THE SCHEDULE
Once you have decided to go with us we will come pick up the contract and the down payment if your not wanting to mail it in. Once we got your on the schedule we will have you pick colors. We will go over the start date of the job at this time are well. Timing is based on a number of factors such as ( Weather, other delays on jobs before you, etc).
9. STARTING THE JOB
Once we get about a week away from starting your job we will reach out to inform you the date and time we plan on coming. Along with the space we need cleared for trucks and tools. During the job we will be taking pictures to share with you in real time so you can see what is going on during the roofing project. This will be helpful if we run into anything unexpected like rotten plywood. If we run into anything unexpected we will let you know so we can agree upon the change order.
10. FINISHED JOB
Once the job is completed we will send you an invoice for final payment along with all the pictures from the project.
